Human Nature Wins Big at the UK Independent Crisp Tasting Championships 2026

We’re proud to share that Human Nature has been recognised at the UK Independent Crisp Tasting Championships 2026, bringing home two awards in what turned out to be one of the most vibrant and well-attended events in the independent snack calendar.

Hosted at the Robin Hood pub in Bristol, the championships gathered a strong mix of emerging and established brands from across the UK. What made the day stand out was the atmosphere. The space was full from start to finish, with hundreds of people moving between tables, tasting, comparing, discussing and voting. It felt less like a formal competition and more like a true celebration of flavour, where every reaction was immediate and every vote was earned in real time.

For us, this setting matters. There is something powerful about seeing people try your product for the first time, watching their reactions, hearing their feedback, and knowing that their vote is based purely on that experience. It is honest, unfiltered, and exactly the kind of validation that drives what we do.

In this context, we were honoured to receive two awards.

Our Smoky Barbecue flavour pea snacks were awarded Healthiest Crisp. This category recognises products that strike a balance between nutritional value and taste, and it reflects a shift in how people approach snacking. Throughout the day, we saw people come back for a second taste, often surprised by how much flavour could be packed into a product designed to be a lighter alternative. That response is exactly what we aim for when developing new recipes.

We also received Best Vegetable Crisp for our Caramelised Onion crisps. This category was full of innovation, with brands exploring different ingredients, textures and flavour profiles beyond traditional potato crisps. To stand out here, especially in a room full of curious and engaged tasters, is something we are incredibly proud of. The Caramelised Onion flavour consistently drew attention for its depth and balance, and it was rewarding to see it resonate with so many people throughout the day.

These awards reflect more than just the products themselves. They highlight a broader movement within the industry towards snacks that feel good to eat without compromising on enjoyment. Consumers are becoming more aware, more selective, and more open to trying alternatives, but flavour remains the deciding factor. That is where we focus all our energy.

The championships also reinforced the importance of community within the independent food space. Being surrounded by like-minded brands, all pushing boundaries in their own way, created an environment that was both competitive and collaborative. It is a reminder that innovation thrives when ideas are shared and standards are raised collectively.

We are incredibly grateful to the organisers for creating such a dynamic event, and to every person who stopped by our table, took the time to taste our snacks, and cast their vote. That direct connection with consumers is something we never take for granted.

Bringing home two awards from a room filled with hundreds of engaged tasters is a milestone for us, but it is also motivation. We will continue to develop products that align with our values, focusing on quality ingredients, thoughtful recipes, and flavours that people genuinely enjoy.

This recognition is an important step in our journey, and we are excited for what comes next.
