Are lentils a superfood?

We can say yes! Lentils are high in protein and fibre and low in fat. They're also packed with folate, iron, phosphorus, manganese, potassium, and fibre. Lentils are also low in sodium and saturated fat, and high in plant chemicals called polyphenols that have antioxidant activity. See here why we use legumes.

What are the differences between  your crisps and regular fried potato crisps?

Our snacks are not fried but baked (extruded) so we have 40% less fat than regular fried crisps (leading UK brands on the market). Furthermore, our snacks contain 50% more protein than average potato crisps.

How do you compare yourselves with other crisps?

On average our crisps have less calories, less fat and more protein. See below a comparison chart:

Are there allergens in your crisps?

We don’t have any allergens in the ingredients list. But all of our snacks  might contain traces of milk and gluten due to the facility being close to those substances.

Do you use iodized salt in your production?

No, we don't.

How should I store the crisps once opened?

Better to keep them closed in a cool and dry place.

Which manufacturer certifications do you have?

We have the IFS food certificate. We are committed to food safety standards by monitoring all phases of production. In fact, we work only with accredited factories (BRC, ISO 22000, IFS) as we make sure that all our ingredients comply with local laws.

We source ingredients from suppliers where agriculture standards are well controlled and we work with production partners who minimise the waste and who minimise the usage of electricity and other fuels.

What is the climate footprint of your snacks?

We measure our climate footprint by measuring every process of creating and distributing our products to retailers via partners such as Carbon Cloud. We also work very closely with manufacturers to offset their processes as well.

What are green jobs?

Green jobs are roles dedicated to protecting our planet and growing plant-based foods like our snacks. We support these jobs through everyone involved, from those who grow our ingredients to those in our supply chain, including people who remove plastic from the oceans and those who plant trees globally.

Are you 1% for the Planet certified?

We are proud to announce that Human Nature has officially been certified by 1% for the Planet. This milestone reflects our commitment to donating at least 1% of our annual revenue to vetted environmental partners.

It's more than just a certification—it's a promise to the planet and future generations. By joining 1% for the Planet, we’re amplifying our efforts to make a positive environmental impact. This is just the beginning of our journey to sustainability!
